About Me

SILENCE IS ALSO CONVERSATION
— RAMANA maharshi

I’m a fine artist, curator, writer, and mother based in Kansas City.

My work explores the circular, unending nature of time and the potential for discomfort to be transformed. Each piece feels like a conversation—between me, the material, time, and the unseen. The works presented here are part of a series of non-representational pieces created through a meditative process that honors the material as an active participant, not something to dominate.

These works are made while the surface—paper or silk—is still very wet, requiring intuitive, immediate decisions. That narrow window of manipulation brings both fear and clarity, forcing a surrender to the unknown. Planning, sketching, and mixing are essential, but the slow drying process becomes the final co-creator, gradually revealing the piece's true form.

I work across paper, canvas, and silk, and also create delicate beeswax sculptures as a way to explore dimensionality and craft.
